GED SCHOLARSHIPS

VFL strives to promote the economic health and well-being of Habersham County and its residents by encouraging high school dropouts to get their General Equivalency Diplomas.  VFL offers scholarships to eligible adults for GED testing and over the 2022-2023 school year gave close to $1,000 in scholarships for GED testing.

VFL GED Scholarship applicants must be residents of Habersham County, be enrolled in a certified GED program and have completed a minimum of 40 hours of GED classroom instruction.  Scholarships are awarded on the basis of Official Practice Test (OPT) scores and financial need.  For more information contact Volunteers for Literacy of Habersham County at 706-949-3157 or email VFL at [email protected].
